Finally, legit R1 DVD news!

It appears that Mya Communication--possibly the resurrected NoShame USA--has listed Four Flies on Grey Velvet as a release for early 2009!

Hopefully, this will actually happen!

All I can say is WTF?

Seems bizarre for it to be coming from a relative unknown considering how Paramount was asking for the moon in order to grant distribution rights...

I'm so happy that this film is getting a legitimate Region 1 DVD release; the VHS copy I currently own is a very subpar quality fourth generation dupe that's in desperate need of an upgrade.

I have a dupe as well. While the image is stable, the quality is pretty soft. I'm looking forward to a much sharper picture.

I hope whoever releases it cleans up the audio. a good clean wide screen would be nice too. this movie needs a solid official release; as does Cat in the Brain.

I'd give my life to be dead..

I was fortunate enough to get a copy of the new DVD and am happy to report that it looks and sounds great. Alas, the extras are slim, although the trippy Italian trailer is a total wacky hoot and almost worth the price of purchase by itself.
