The Beatles?

I read on the trivia page for this movie that it said Terence Stamp, Michael York and some of the Beatles were concidered for the main role in the film.

Which members were they?

I was thinking either Ringo Starr (he since went on to become an actor, and star in numerous comedies, some being The Magic Christian with Peter Sellers, and Caveman with Dennis Quaid) or Paul McCartney (him and Linda did many films together, and makes cameos here and there), though I highly suggested Ringo, with him having a large filmography than the others.

George did a cameo in Life of Brian and John starred in a film called How I Won The War.

Can anyone clarify who it was they were concidering for a role? I am a big fan of Argento, and have been a fan of the Beatles for many years, and was delighted to see this on the trivia page.

Nevermind, found the answer. It apparently was Ringo Starr who was concidered for Roberto.

James Taylor, Tom Courtney and Terence Stamp were also concidered for the role.

Interesting. I think Ringo would have done an amazing job.

Speaking of the Beatles, did I see the cover of George Harrison's All Things Must Pass on Roberto's table? It was at the end when he's making the elongated light switch with the wire.

Yes, that was George Harrison's All Things Must Pass by the stereo. There was also a copy of a Traffic album, I think John Barleycorn Must Die.

Keith Moon would have been interesting too. He wouldn't have needed to "fake it" on the drumset either!

Michael York was actually contacted, but he already had signed for another film so he had to turn this one down. As to which Beatle was considered, I suppose it was Ringo, since he was the one who played the drums.
