Richard Bellamy was so handsome.
I thought Lady Marjorie and he made an attractive couple, it was too bad that she was killed off.

shareI'm likely in a very small minority, as I understand that Lady M was a great fan favorite, but I found her rather aloof - icy, even. I much preferred Richard with Virginia, though I suppose he could have made most any woman look good!
With that said, it was Frederick/"Alberto" who really floated my boat, as it were! Such a shame that James vetoed his and Georgina's film debut.
I agree. Lady M seemed to levitate above her life rather than inhabit it. Rachel, on the other hand, relished life; her feet were on the ground and she preferred them to be traveling. She and Richard Bellemy were a striking couple; heads turned when they arrived.
He was, indeed, very handsome. Also very charming, very kind and in every way a gentleman.
I also preferred Virginia to Marjorie: beautiful as she was, I never felt that Rachel Gurney had the range to make Marjorie the rounded, complex character that she was supposed to be.
