I have a question in regards to a mini series that was broadcasted a few years ago. The last time I saw it was around Feb-Mar 2004. I think the first part was set in the mid or late 1800's it revolved around a very wealthy British family and the scandals that plagued them. At the beginning, the father leaves his wife and baby daughter to marry the governess. Later his female cousin has an affair with an artist since she has married a man she does not love. She is later raped by her husband due to her coldness towards him in regards to sex. The lover is trampled by a carriage while on his way to confront the husband in regards to the rape. I recall the wife leaving the husband and decides to live independently. The second part of the mini-series takes place in the 1920's. Doe anyone know the name of the series? It was really interesting.
