Early 1980s Masterpiece Classic, a scene of someone buried alive?
I recently watched the Leonardo DiCaprio film. The Revenant and it reminded me something I saw on PBS way back in the early 80s. I'm fairly certain this was a Masterpiece Classic production.
The setting was around the same period as this film, maybe closer to early American Colonial times. There was a scene where someone was buried alive and he later crawled out of his grave. I don't remember if he was buried because they mistakenly thought he was dead and it was done intentionally.
I remember it was at night when he crawled out. Some Indians saw this and thought he was a divine spirit or they really spooked out. I don't know for sure, it's been so long.
I know its a longshot but I curious if this rings a bell with anyone here.
