absolutuly no co-cast?

are there any other series like this, when it comes to having absolutuly no other "main cast" re accuring cast member except the main role?
columbo atleast had his dog, and was also talking about his wife and such. besides, columbo were tv-movies, this is a series.
(i could be entirely wrong though, couse i'm pretty new to this series.)

i'm gonna get me some horses and a waggon, and travel to town,
find a place where the people will treat me right,
i kept your animals fed,
while your maids didn't even make the bed,
i'm gonna leave,
and you can just plough your own fields,
gotten you beer, from your favorite brewery place,
and breaking my back, from lifting all that hay,
i even told stories, from the whole world,
from far away places, from diffrent cultures on earth,
i'm getting a bagage coach,
and down the long deep dark woods i'll go,
the wheels will roll all the time,
untill i've reached town,
don't try to stop me, don't even say you'll give me a raise,
couse i've alredy made up my mind, i'm leaving here today,
find a place where i can lay on a haystack,
and you can just find another farm hand to break his back.

He really didn't need any co-cast. His character was strong enough. You know what really bugs me? When a show tries to add in a character to try and bring in the teenybopper fanbase. Like barnaby jones did with JR. Or other series throw in a young girl for Eye candy. To me that just cheapens things. Although I did end up liking JR. BUt I liked the show just fine without him too

hey, i'm about 20 episodes in the series now, and there is a re-accuring actor after all. martin/charlie sheen, (i mix their names up, but i'm talking about the older one. by the way, sheen keeps appearing in some of my favorie movies, like "Cassandra crossings", "Alf" and stuff, and now i've seen him in "Cannon" too. they work great togheter. fun, great episodes.

i'm heading for oddville,
why don't you come along with me,
this place has gotten too uptight,
as i look around i see a pretty dull sight,
i'm heading to a place, where you don't have to be somebody else,
where it's alright to be yourself,
join me if you will,
doc, i'm heading for a place called oddville,
use whatever fabric you wanna use,
walk with or without shoes,
do what you wanna do, when you feel like doing what you wanna do,
let yourself lose,
if you will,
at oddville,
this place may look funny at first,
but seems to me like this is a more real world,
no pressure to live up to any expectations,
when you step of the station,
there's no need to qualify,
just come on by,
if you will,
and meet me in oddville.

I think Sheen played a different character each time though. I remember him playing a villain on the show as well. Or maybe he played the former cop with the bumb leg twice and then he played a villain on another one.

you seem to have a good eye on this show, my man. yeah, now that you mention it, he did limp in both episodes he appeared in, i think. so i guess he returned as the same character in two episodes, couse i'm pretty sure he didn't play a bad guy.

smile for me, don't look so sad,
it rubbs off on me, when you look like that,
you make me feel so good,
i'm safe with such a sweet girl like you,
no others care i'd rather want,
no other chick like you i've ever found,
no pressure to keep you pleased,
but you still give me what i need,
nothing more i can ask for when youre there,
i'm so blessed having you near,
hold me close,
and never let me go,
with you there, i'm never lost, or alone,
when youre near, i'm on top, and at home,
stay in morning and in night,
make me feel alright, and show me your smile.
