I heard a new version is in the works and John Scurti will play the title role of Detective Frank Cannon in 2010. I need to fin the website that posted it somewhere.

I just think the magic of the 70's crime drama can't be duplicated. You can start up a new series and cast some other fat guy and call him Frank Cannon but it's not gonna have anywhere near the same feel to it. I guess it all depends on the time period you grew up in too. I'm sure the younger people are gonna prefer the newer crime dramas as opposed to the stuff from 30 + years ago

Hopefully, it will be updated and not a bleak rehash like the original. I think John Scurti would do great. Also, remember Kojack with Ving Rhames? That was just a bleak rehash, and it was bad.

Oh God no. Watch them make Cannon be a young thin guy too. They'll screw it up just like they screwed up The Night Stalker.
