I believe it was this show that I watched as a kid long ago that had an episode which featured a boy finding a stash of guns. There was a gang that wanted them and the boy tried to stop them. His fate wasn't pretty. Now, as an adult, I can't believe something so gruesome was allowed to air on network TV. Even though the violence was off screen, it was obvious what was happening to him.

Does this sound familiar to anyone or am I thinking of another 70s cop show? Can anyone confirm if I'm right before I start buying the DVDs?

Not in the first two seasons on DVD. Can't really recall an episode like this during the series. Maybe it was Kojak?

Thanks for the reply. I could have sworn it was Cannon, but I can accept the distinct possibility that I'm wrong.

I really wish I could see it again. The memory of that scene has haunted me for years.

Sounds like a Kojak episode to me also. Could be many other shows as well, Starsky and Hutch, Beretta, Police Woman, Streets Of San Fransisco, Mannix, Hawaii Five O, probably a few more I missed, but sounds most up in line with a Kojak plot to me.
