Warners will be releasing all of their recent "Best Buy Exclusives" Sci-Fi Double Feature DVDs (which includes "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" in anamorphic widescreen and uncut!) to all retail outlets on October 7, 2008. So if you haven't been able to find any of them at Best Buy, just wait a few more weeks and then "Yo Kita!" and get them!
shareWell, it's not that easy to get this DVD. It was released as a double feature along with Moon Zero Two. The package says Rated G but the film is the uncut version with nudity. Due to the error Best Buy recalled this title and as far as I know, it has yet to be reissued.

You're right, this isn't easy to get anymore! The double feature DVD I bought was $19.99, and it was a used copy. That was the lowest price I could find. It seems a lot of sellers know this is now out of print, and feel they can charge grossly high prices. I guess I got a bargain finding a used DVD for the price I paid.
Warner Bros. is usually very good with listing details about the movies they release. I was surprised they didn't have "not rated" listed for "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth," and your post explained why. Thanks for the info.

I checked a few online DVD retailers for you, and it looks like the movie is still out of print on disc. New and used copies can still be found on the internet. The lowest price I saw for a new DVD was $37.95, and the lowest price I saw for a used DVD was $34.49.

Yeah, it has been a long time! I haven't been online for half a year...Wow, lol. My computer broke down last July, and I took my time with getting it fixed. I would've had it fixed months ago, if I had known the problem was so simple. I moved within that time period, and I was keeping myself busy doing other things. Ahh, I did watch "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth" once again within that time. I was having another Hammer film fest, and it fit in great with "Hammer adventure week." I watched it as a second feature to "One Million Years B.C."
I see "The Creatures The World Forgot" is still not available on DVD, but I suspect it will be sometime in the near future. I'm basing this on the fact that Sony/Columbia will be releasing another Hammer box set for region 1 in April. I would imagine our missing movie will be on the following box set, if they release any more. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
Are you a big Hammer fan/collector? I know there are a few Hammer titles you really enjoy, but I wasn't sure how extensive your fascination with Hammer goes. For me, it became my big obsession for last year, lol.
