watching the new napoleon movie.

I'm betting this still comes out ahead as far as sheer epicness. The new one may have larger battle scenes, but they will all be CGI. Every soldier in Waterloo (1970) was a real person.

the day of using all those extras in movies are cover.

Yes. Why bother hiring, outfitting and coordinating thousands of extras when you can have tens of thousands of fully obedient and equipped CGI soldiers much more cheaply?

But it will never match the spectacle of the real thing.
