I've always taken his look for granted in this film, but reading here that finney was only 34yo when it was filmed, his aged makeup looks amazing, and pretty convincing. the lines around the eyes, especially.

I agree. First time I saw this Finney was already older and I assumed he was made to look younger. I was really surprised when I realized it was the other way around. LOL.
