I have heard rumors that this was wooden puppetry and shot with cameras but I have ALSO heard that this an early version of computer animation
Anyone know?
It looks to me like stop motion animation. (I'm watching it right now.) It was made in 1970, so I really doubt any type of computer animation was done then. Most of these Christmas specials were made from the mid 60s thru the early 80s using stop motion.
shareYes, this was stop-motion animation. A computer-generated movie wouldn't be made for another couple decades.
shareStrictly Stop-motion. This was made a few years before the video game Pong came out and all of us old enough certainly remember just how "great" those Pong graphics were.
