I Love...
I don't know why but that song that Jessica sings by the fountain is so pretty to me.
What are your favorite songs from this and the other Christmas specials?

It's impossible to forget Florence Henderson's "O Holy Night" in a special Brady Bunch episode (it was her youngest daughter's wish that mommy would recover from laryngitis to be able to sing in church on Christmas). It wasn't acting to see looks of admiration from her TV family when she sang.
In the 1970's, there was a plethora of variety shows who did Christmas excellently, but one thing stuck out-Sonny & Cher show did a very unique, especially for that time, tribute. With Christmas as a theme, they sang songs of war era's (for instance, "Over there, Over There" as a tribute to WWI vets). It was touching, as patriotism was in very short supply in the 70's.
"Rudolph", "Santa Claus is comin to Town" and "Frosty the Snowman" represents the absolute apex of american innovation in kid's entertainment. It is as if the people responsible for this retired at the end of the 1970's and were replaced by their talentless and clueless distant relatives. Kid's TV has gone from being interesting and innovative to downright insulting.
I love O Holy Night Too, put one foot in front of the other,"Santa Claus is coming to town.

I just heard "Put One Foot in Front of the Other" after 30 years! What a beautiful and timeless song! It gives wonderful encouragement to anyone, anytime of year and is so inspirational!
