Silk Blue Dress!!

I know this is silly, but did anyone ever notice that Jessica Claus had the same silk blue dress on through out the story, even walking through the North Pole! I mean...no hat, coat, gloves...not even ear muffs! No wonder she got her man in the end. Now that's a dedicated woman!!

Where'd they get the stone, wood, and other supplies?

I had always thought the Winter Warlock had something to do with building the shop at the North Pole. He probaby had more magic than was originally believed.

That's what my parents told me when I was little. I kept pestering them about it, wanting answers.

I figured that the town (inc the ruler) gave the teacher her clothes. I did not understand political corruption at 6, but they might have 'paid her off' with nice clothes to follow his policies---and instruct the children in it.
