Amelitas's Scar
I remember being horrified by what Hendricks did to Amelita when I saw this film as a kid in the 70's. My naivete kept asking why a man would do such an awful thing to a woman. It stuck with me for some reason. When I was older, I began thinking of what I'd say to her or any beautiful woman who's face was scarred. This is what I've come up with:
You know what that scar really does? It provides a contrast. It calls attention to just how beautiful you are."
Kinda lame, I know, but that's what I'd say. I have no idea why I posted this. I guess because Rio Lobo is running on TV just now.
Most skeptics are terrified it's all real and are desperate to prove otherwise.
