Inspired by Bergman's Persona?

Seems to me that the theme (in the Turner section) of blurring of identities, and even some of the shots and visual tricks (and the surrealism of the whole thing) have parallels in Ingmar Bergman's Persona, released a couple of years earlier.

Any thoughts?

It was the late 60s, early 70s... what movie wasn't influenced by Persona?

as if to confirm the relationship between the 2 films, t.c.m. aired "persona" immediately after "performance" the other night (12-12-09).

I've seen both films and no, I just don't see it.
I thought of Rocky Horror Picture Show. 2 women, 1 man, rock n' roll. My opinion only.

Interesting, I can see a bit of Persona in Performance.
