Someone please answer me this.....

I could have sworn that the opening scenes to this movie, where Patton is giving a speech in front of the American flag, is actually revealed to have him speaking to a bunch of coffins. As in, he finishes his speech, and the camera pans to show that there's nothing there but numerous flag-draped caskets.

Was I imagining this as the result of the Mandela Effect, or was this an extended version of the scene?

Was I imagining this

I think you were - if you watch the scene again you can hear an off screen officer calling men to attention and the sound of chairs moving and hundreds of men coming to their feet.

That is bizarre. Thanks.

You must be thinking of some other movie...or maybe some parody video/pictorial of it. I saw Patton a couple of times in the theatres when it first came out and numerous times since and never saw any coffins.

Why would they write a scene where a general tells a bunch of coffins that he'd be proud to lead them into war, etc., etc.

Mandela effect? Perhaps something less extravagant, like too much grass?

Too much grass, haha! What a knee slapper!
