Technically, the series was a remake of the 1970 film, so in a sense, it already has been remade.

I'm appalled at the thoughbt of a remake, too. The difference between us is that I love this movie, ranking it easily among my top ten favorite films. I can certainly understand that you don't like it (though it's tough to imagine why), but it's truly a brilliant piece of work by a brilliant director. Would be a shame if someone tried to dumb it down in a remake.

Hmm, really? Hopefully they won't remake it at all.

Robert Altman may have been brilliant in some areas. But in others, he was a political liberal with a strong resentment against authroity.

Loosely translated, he was an @!#hole!

You say that like it's a bad thing. :)

Not really. I just did not see eye to eye with his views, let alone how he went about exercising them.

i like to think of it not as a remake, but as a motion picture version of the tv series
