Why isn't MAS*H ~EVER~ on (regular) cable or TV

I have the late 70's/early 80's VHS copy of the movie..

Were it not for this OLD & dying tape, I wouldn't know what M*A*S*H even was...

It used to be on TV and cable a lot. It has also been re-re-re-released on DVD and Blu Ray several times.
