I've seen this movie * a lot*, but it just occurred to me that, in the scene where Oliver is asking the Dean of the law school for a scholarship, he never mentions a school loan ... ? I guess it would have detract somewhat from the story line.
sharePlus loans weren't readily available then, in addition to which you have to prove NEED and that would have been difficult ...
shareUm, I went to college in Boston in 1970 and only survived on guaranteed student loans until Northeastern *finally* came through - with a full scholarship. Unfortunately, I was already several thousand dollars in debt, which I eventually paid off. Oh, and we *had* need; two of us at NU and our father made a princely $5K a year. We both lucked into full scholarships.
shareLaw school and undergrad are two completely different animals. lPlus, Harvard's in a "wing" all by itself.
