Who wanted a woman like Jenny after seeing this?
Wise-cracking, smart-ass, brash, bold, in your face, and of course, gorgeous is nice, too.
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

I found her to be annoying. VERY annoying. Much too high an opinion of herself and I'm surprised that someone as good-looking at "preppy" was, tolerate her constant insults for as long as he did. I'd never give someone who spoke to me like that a first chance. I can't stand that false front...the smart-ass, nothing is serious, let's play verbal tennis, crap.
shareSo I'll put you down in the "no" column then.

recently saw this film for the first time and found her to be such a bitch! really ruined any chance of me getting emotional at her demise.
shareShe was Don Rickles in a skirt.
shareWell, Sinatra seemed to like it.

I never liked her personality either.
And if you watch the FEW movies that ALI McGRAW ever made, she has the same EXACT irritating personality---no change whatsoever!

I have always been attracted to women like this.
Whether I stayed attracted... that's another story!
Ever watch Cheers? Carla has a similar personality and had at least 2 husbands and 8 kids.
As for me, no, I don't find that sort of personality attractive. Put me in the no column.
My girlfriend (in 1970) whose name was Wendy, looked almost exactly like Jenny.....I have never forgotten her.
She too, had a debilitating disease which eventually took her life...
DAMMIT!!
😢
The Opener of the Way is waiting....
I thought Jenny was awesome.
shareI married her. Maybe she wasn't wise-cracking as much. I think you mean sarcasm?
Is this a one-generation film? Who else would watch it ha ha?
In my opinion she comes off bizarre and annoying ("Hey preppy" -- "preppy" "preppy" "preppy").
O'Neal's character, on the other hand, is an all-around likable guy -- tough, but very nice at the same time, filthy rich yet undeniably humble and respectful.
She's the best. Love her. I'm sure she influenced an entire generation of women. I know she influenced my sister - in looks, at least - who was about her age at the time.
