i'm no prude but found the language quite inappropriate for a PG. i guess maybe it was the 70's, they went easy. i would have given it PG-13.

Back then the rating system was different. It was G, PG, M for Mature, R and X.

Probably PG-13 is today's equivalent of the certificate that was given at the time of the original release. In 1970 it was released as an AA which meant that all viewers had to be 14 or over.
