Cinema's Most Interesting Frankenstein?

He is screwing(and often impregnating) everything that moves. The young Victor kills his father(without hesitation) after being refused more time at university. A complete jerk/cad. A brilliant monster creating monsters.

Hammer in its prime(IMHO). Another visually beautiful film from Hammer. Great job Jimmy Sangster! But it departs from the previous Hammer Frankenstein canon and therefore is an abomination? What kind of logic is that after viewing this wonderful freak? Movie critics have their childlike, irresponsible moments.

One of the most interesting for sure, especially Ralph Bates take on Doc Frankenstein, as a cold cynic fÜck who wont have anything between him and his "work".

This one is without a doubt, the most frequently re-shown Frankenstein movie on UK tv (Boris Karloff and Even Hammer cushing versions are now seldom shown, Horror of Frankenstein is getting to be the benchmark by which other frankenstein movies are judged.)

Everything will be OK in the end, if it aint OK,it aint the end.

To my mind, the most interesting part was the oddly anti-climatic ending. The monster dies a quick, quiet death without the usual torch-and-pitchfork drama.

I love how the monster dies.

Flush, and its over!

There's another thing that sets it apart from the other Frankenstein movies that I also thought made this movie more interesting. Notice in every other film (I'm not talking about sequels, just versions of the original story), Frankenstein dies whether the monster does or not. Here we have a movie where the monster is completely obliterated, while Victor stands around with a look on his face that seems to say, "Great. Now what?"

And Victor doesn't even get to 'nail' the Veronica Carlson character....

I thought this was one of the best of the series. I think many people hate it just because it dares to do something different and also out of loyalty to Peter Cushing. It isn't a bad film at all, though.
