Which Movies - Can someone help?!

I remember watching a movie in a club as a kid in very early 1970s(m - possibly french or most likely Italian.
It had this scene of a murdered body in a lift with blood over the body. This scene is repeated quite a few times as the heroine/hero is blackmailed or scared by it.
It gave me nightmares for years and I just wanted to watch it to bring a closure!
Can anyone help....please...I know its pretty vague!
