A Bergmanesque feel

Watching this for the second time yesterday, I was struck by how much this had the feel of an Ingmar Bergman film (if we leave out the chatterbox hitchhiker). Anyone else pick up on that, or is it just me?

The main difference being that Bergman's movies are gorgeous, visually speaking. Some of the best cinematography of all time.

This one is quite ugly.
