Weird bullet conversation
What was that conversation about the bullet? Was the implication that, because it was made from lead, it had moulded inside the hole and pushed a button down?
How do you like them apples?

I guess so. I was confused about how shooting a keyhole would function as using a key in it. Maybe it's supposed to have 'moulded' and twisted at the same time? It's dismissed with him asking if Delon understands and he says he doesn't, so it's safe to assume the audience isn't meant to either.
"Clothes are the enemy! Without clothes, there'd be no sickness. There'd be no war!"
i didn't expect a layman to understand the chemistry of the bullet, but from what i gathered, the bullet melted to fit into the proper holes, pushed the "things" down and fused them like so.
however, i was curious about why he left as the hole started smoking and what that signified.
Bullets are partially molten at some point in they're flight, and he cast that bullet so that it would be in the proper state of malleability when it entered the keyhole.
black and white movies were better
It wasn't just lead, it was mixed with tin and something else that I can't recall. Delon then asks him how he got the balance between the three metals right and the marksman tells him about him being a ballistics expert back in the day.
Don't know if it would really work but hey...

"something else that I can't recall" = antimony.
