First to show a AMC Gremlin with a V8 swap

As a owner of AMC Gremlin myself i love watching this movie...for the car chase.other than that it was kind of a wierd movie, one that would require being lit up like an Xmas tree to truly enjoy. At least that my opinion.Anyway the red 1970 AMC Gremlin Sally Kellermans charactor drove was one of the very firts Gremlins to get a V8 as it being thier dubut year they only offered em with 6 cyliders. The 70 Road Runner and the cops silver Camaro were also pretty bitchin as well.

Yeah, I'd kinda' forgotten about those old muscle cars like the Plymouth Roadrunner. Of course, in one scene, you can clearly see the price of gas posted in the background at a gas station: 32, 34, and 36 cents a gallon, depending on the grade. Hell yes, you could actually afford to put high-octane gas into a gas-guzzling muscle car back then! lol (Also noticed a large "Texaco" sign inside the Astrodome.)

I liked the way that Camaro sounded, too. Nice pipes! lol

'70 AMC Gremlin one of TIME'S 50 worst cars of all time:

Never drove one so I don't know, but it looks cool in the movie.

That chase had choreography. I especially liked the slo-mo "flights" of the cars that echoed the major theme of the story. And the "BRDSHT" license plate.

Hey, I wonder if this movie inspired AMC to eventually offer their 304 V8 in the Gremlin? When I was a kid, someone in town drove one of those, and it really MOVED, and not quietly either. With so little weight in back-- with so little of anything in back-- I'm sure it was easy as pie for the stunt driver in the Astrodome parking lot to do those donuts!
