What I don't get is, why did she have to go nude while she was bathing him? I understand brewster coz he's the one in the tub.

Other than to show her 'wing scars', I don't know, but I have no complaints.... ;)

Louise is a fallen angel working her way toward redemption. Brewster is her chance. She's presented as a kind of spirit, as is Brewster himself. I think the fact that that she's naked when he is symbolizes their likeness in this sense.
