The emotional disturbed guy in season 3
It was the episode with Bobby Sherman. The young man grew up in an orphanage and drove around in a rehabbed hearse. He gifted his former orphanage with a playground set. He worked many jobs to pay for it.
The part that sticks out to me was him attending a Polish wedding reception he read about in the newspaper. Did people do that in the 70's? Could you attend something private like that even though you were not a guest?
