There Aren't Any More MacBanes

What do you think of this segment?

It really scared me when I was a kid. I still like it now. I'd like to see what Ellen Blake, the woman who played the monster, looked like without her make-up.

Creepy as hell--and one of the better and more memorable episodes,IMHO. Especially when that guy was being chased by the demon down the stairs---whoa!

She was heavily made-up; she probably looked as ordinary as Margaret Hamilton looked without witch's makeup.

Here she was as she appeared on Hill Street Blues (1981) back in the 80s:

John Newland should've been hired to direct more episodes. After three seasons of "One Step Beyond" he was just made for this show.

Fun fact - Mark Hamill (AKA Luke Skywalker himself) plays the messenger who delivers the message to Elie at his apartment.

Seen the episode a few times, but somehow only noticed that recently.

not too much - basically a vehicle for a young "Luke Skywalker"! ;-)

It's one of my top favorites! I watched it yet again tonight.

I recall being so thrilled at seeing Mark Hamill, as I became a fan of his when he first showed up~quite a while before "Star Wars" rocketed him to attention. I think the first thing I saw was Mark and Eve Plumb(?) in a sort of "Romeo and Juliet"-inspired camera commercial.

I love their "Ellie/Francis" exchange! I adore Joel Grey! And, I have been a fan of Darrell Larson starting with "Congratulations! It's a Boy!" starring fellow NG alumnus Bill Bixby.

I am addicted to this episode!
