I'm sorry but this show is hopelessly dated and when it tried to get more trendy in the middle seasons, it became even moreso. I like Mama's Family a heck of a lot better. Its just hilarious comedy and timeless in many ways. This show is just kind of stale and stuck in the 1970s. Like a big ugly orange kitchen, lol.

shareYes, you do have a point. I don't hate MTM show, i just find it slightly overrated. It got all these awards. It was too caught up in its own time, where as MF is more a timeless classic.
shareWell, it was more than slightly overrated and Mama's Family was underrated because it was seen as just silly instead of just funny. They're both miles ahead of anything done now except for Big Bang Theory, which I think is also done in the tradition of a classic sitcom. MTM and Mama's Family both deserve to playing on a channel devoted to classic sitcoms, for old fans to see and new viewers to discover.
shareYes, I agree. I did like the BBT up until the last Season. i felt its jumping the shark quite a bit now. Mama's Family is very campy and MTM is more conventional sit com-ish. But both are good shows.

How you can compare these 2 vastly different shows is beyond me. But if you like mama's family i get why you don't like a classic like MTM show.

And yet you watched this show, and continue to post here. If you truly did not like this show, thought so little of it, then you would have left a long time ago.
