French actor from early AMC eps?

A dark-haired French actor was a character on AMC in the 70's. I cannot find any French-sounding actors or characters on any of the websites or my old magazines and a book called 'All Her Children' by Dan Wakefield circa 1976. Can anyone enlighten me? I think he was paired with "Natalie" in her early performances.

Natalie came along in the mid to late 80's not seventies.
Perhaps you mean Giles St Clair or Jeremy Hunter.

Perhaps you might like to look up Jean LeClerc on IMDB. He played Jeremy Hunter on AMC between 1985 and 1992. I also have the Wakefield book, which was published in 1976 before the Jeremy character. I also have the 25th Anniversary
Collection Scrapbook by Gary Warner. There are pictures of Jean LeClerc and several mentions of him. This is a great coffee table book--amazing how many people have picked it up for a look.

Jean Leclerc played Jeremy Hunter on AMC. His character was in an affair with Natalie Green/Marlow and eventually Dillon if memory serves.

Natalie Marlow Hunter had been a former lover of Jeremy's who was now married to Alex Hunter (Jeremy's father). She wanted Jeremy back, so she got Jeremy drunk and then made him think that they had slept together. In this way, she could try to pass off Alex's baby as Jeremy's so he would marry her.
Later, after Alex died in a freak riding "accident", the only way Natalie and Timmy could benefit financially would be proof of Timmy's true parentage. This proof was on a VHS tape that Alex recorded earlier.
Unfortunately, Natalie's ditzy alcoholic mother Wilma used said tape to record her soap opera!
