Entertaining. You left out Freddy Sykes though. Tom Hanks was a good choice for Pike but Jack Black for Dutch, no way. The choice of music didn't fit, why not some soundtrack music?
Personally I hope the whole remake idea has been dropped.

I didnt want to put soundtrack music in due to copyright, so I used public domain music. I left out Angel, too. Couldn't really find anybody to match the two so just went for main cast. I know jack black is not a very good choice, but they have a similar crazy smile and eyes.

I could go along with Hanks and Ford, but not the rest of your choices. You need to remember the four characters who made "the walk" to the final shootout were portrayed by highly recognized actors. Three of the four were Oscar winners (William Holden, Ben Johnson and Ernest Borgnine).

Only Warren Oates did not get an Oscar nod during his career, but he died young at 53 years old, cutting his acting career short by over a decade. Even so, Oates earned numerous awards for his work as well.

The Wild Bunch is a masterpiece on many levels and one of those levels is the quality of the acting. This is simply because great actors were used to make this film.

As I said in the description... these actors were picked on facial recognition alone. I wasn't going by acting chops. Of course Jack Black cannot hold a candle to Borgnine etc. and I cringe at the thought of a remake. but I thought it would be fun to find actors who looked like the originals.

Some good choices there, Bryan Cranston and Woody Harrelson would be about right for Pike and Dutch. I had to laugh at the prospect of Sean Bean as the first casualty.

I would prefer more of a loose remake, quite distinct from the original but heavily influenced by it. Much like Walter Hill's Extreme Prejudice.
