Why does Teresa look conflicted before Angel kills her?

I know the villagers claim that Teresa "went willingly" with Mapache, and she is proud and defiant when arguing with Angel... but the camera catches her looking grieved during a couple moments. Is this because she's fighting feelings of guilt, or because she actually didn't go willingly with Mapache and is doing whatever she can to survive?

Also when she sees Angel she is looking at her maidenhood in a sense. I would say she went willingly but now has a bit of a sense of what might have been.

She knows she burnt Angel to live the wild life. She went willingly.

Hmm. But then, why does she look remorseful in a couple of shots?

This was a close-up that showed a person destroying her guilt, which was there in her eyes--then she pushes it away, laughs at Angel and goes to Mapache.
In a rough translation from the Spanish, Angel says to her that she has abandoned her people, and she says 'so what? (y que?).

The faces in this movie were incredible, both men and women.
