Mr. Burton's Secret


Whisky bottles are STILL turning up in the various warehouses and woodsheds used in this film. Clint said Dick was "quite a character". The poor sot was even hiding bottles in snow banks with no hope of ever finding them again. It's a wonder he ever left Austria alive.

Sheesh. I also read that he was an extremely heavy smoker (something like half a dozen packs a day) and he started when he was only 8 years old. I'm a smoker too but have cut down to about 5-6 cigs a day. I can't imagine smoking at the rate of Burton...
