I love when Dub Taylor reaches up from hiding under the rable, gets a hand full of
grits, then snags a whole chicken, Then raises up to get something else, and gets dunked in Grits ) which i agree wiyh him -- They're unclean(

This was the only scene that I kind of Rememberd. Maybe because it was in every John Wayne Movie in one form or another. That and when they had the Fourth of July Party I was thinking something else was going to happen. Maybe thats another Movie but I was expecting an Attack from the Mexicans or something. But still a great flick.

Few things make me laugh as much as this.

It was one of those Duke films you could just about guarantee to have a brawl, it was only a matter of when to have it.

I like the women breaking it up with the rifles.

Good clean fun!

Short Grub,what a name! (Ben Johnson) after a peaceful bit of fishing, says to the Confederate guy fishing with him, something like,'This was bound to happen' and gets socked into the river.

I found it ridiculous and stupid. Food and commodities are scarce so what do they do? Waste it and destroy it. They were destroying the wagon and it's contents and all the food. These are people on a trail and need to survive with what little they can carry or what they can acquire, and they waste it. But I'm not an American, and when I watch food fights, I am disgusted, so perhaps it's a cultural difference.
