The sound of the jingling spurs really threw me, near the beginning, when Hogan was rummaging through the pockets of the three men he'd just killed. He was literally picking their pockets, and removing items, including what appeared to be coins. Then there was that tinkling sound, and I thought, great! he's just scored a little handfull of silver dollars off that one dead dude. Then later, when I watched the movie again, I realized that the sound was NOT of coins jingling, but of his spurs... (though I'm sure that he did in fact remove some coinage from that one guy's pocket).
