VERY POOR!

This movie is a monument to public patience! The project was forced upon Hitchcock, he didn't want to direct it..and it shows! None of the master directors magic is evident in the film, not even his usual black humour. I'm a dyed in the wool Hitchcock fan...and found nothing of the man anywhere in the film. It is a movie that should never have seen the light of day.
It's a mess!

I disagree. There is some trademark Hitchcock in the film most notably Cordoba's death where her purple dress billows out as viewed from an aerial camera position which makes it seem like a pool of blood. Very clever. I think it's a better film than it is given credit for.

I agree, there are some good moments in Topaz . . . it was filmed beautifully . . .
