Such a great film and it doesn't have a decent release on DVD. What a crying shame.
The Australian PAL Region 0 (plays on any DVD player) is no better than VHS but at least it's something.

It is actually quite bad. I have seen bad transfers but this is one of the worst ever. It is really a shame. A great film which deserves a better transfer.

Haha, I read all this before renting the disc, so was expecting poor quality. Even so, it still exceeded my expectations in terms of craptitude. The poor sound quality was particularly frustrating.
That said, I'm glad to have finally seen the film - definitely a good'un.
