What's That Music?
There is music playing in a montage scene where Charity returns to the Fandango ballroom and is manhandled by one of the patrons. The music sounds similar to a Herb Alpert and the TJB type of song. Anybody know what it is?
shareThe piece you're referring to definitely had a Herb Alpert & TJB arrangement & orchestration, but all the music in the film was composed by Cy Coleman (he not only wrote the music for the songs but also the film's entire musical score). He was a prolific and highly versatile composer.
Composers often recycle music that was cut from earlier drafts of their shows; I wonder if that was the case with this particular melody...
