Paige Davis

Paige Davis is touring as Charity. I thought when I looked earlier, Molly Ringwald was playing Charity. I have to say, I was kind of dissapointed. I think she did broadway before she did trading spaces, though. Has anyone seen her in this role? I'm sure the show will be great, but I was just wondering if anyone has seen it.

I saw this in Dallas today and have to say...I was pleasantly suprised. Paige was very good. I love this story. The dancers weren't as tight as I would have liked but it was very good.

I saw the show in Phoenix the other night and I was impressed by Paige. this is a demanding role both physically and vocally and I thought she did a really good job.

If you missed Ringwald in the role, you weren't missing much. While her charactwer was great, her singing seemed a little off at times, and she was clearly not a dancer. It may have just been the performances I saw, but I've heard other people say the same things.

I saw the show before the revival went to New York starring Christina Applegate. It was awful and Applegate merely copied Shirley MacLaine's performance. The worst thing in it was when they brought this huge piece of furniture out onstage for If They Could See Me Now, and she never got up and danced on it. I've seen two productions of this show, or maybe three onstage (one was a high school which took four hours to do it) and have decided I'm not destined to see a good one. Same with My Fair Lady, three awful stage productions = huge appreciation for the movie version.
