Suzanne Charney -- Ponytail Girl?

Does anybody know if Suzanne Charney is the main dancer (with the ponytail) in Rich Man's Frug, Aloof, Big Finish?

I've never been able to identify her by her real name.

That dancer is as beautiful as she is talented. The way she makes it all look so easy while appearing moderately bored is fantastic -- a testament to her skills and Fosse's choreography.

Suzanne -- if it's you and you ever read this: You kick fanny and I loved you in "Kolchak."

A little detective work and I could answer my own question.

She is indeed Ponytail Girl.

Thanks for this info, PrettySalad — I have just watched that sequence, and came here wondering who the woman with the ponytail was.

She is spectacular! Her movements, her poise and control ... they're mesmerising.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.

Definitely her. I've seen many other dancers do this same choreography. But nobody really nailed it like Suzanne. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzanne_Charney

Bob Fosse thrived on these "girls of mystery" types who could be seductive without being downright drop-dead gorgeous, although Ms. Charney certainly is ravishing. She rarely smiles (perfect for Fosse choreography) which reminds me of Bebe Neuwirth, who played Nikki in the Debbie Allen revival, and a bit of Ann Reinking in "Chicago", who was definitely channeling Gwen Verdon, who even playing the original Charity and Lola in "Damn Yankees" seemed just too damned sweet.

"Great theater makes you smile. Outstanding theater may make you weep."
