So, I just noticed something.

This is one of my favorite movies, and I have seen it many many times...

But at 1 hour, 19 minutes into the film,
when Pruddy goes storming over to the Sheriff's office
(after her tirade at the town meeting)
she enters the office and plops onto the chair and says,
"Well, you might as well forget about getting any help from anyone in this town"

I never noticed the Sheriff is looking INTO the barrel of a shotgun! Was he thinking about killing himself?! or cleaning it or what?

I just found that very funny!

I'm pretty sure he was just cleaning the rifle.

I think he was bored and wasting time
