First Time Viewing

I'm just seeing this movie for the first time tonight. I'm 21 and had never even heard of it. I don't know how the movie did when it was first released but I really enjoyed this. It's slow, yes but it's real. You go to college and you get involved with(or specifically avoid) girls like Pookie. I really liked her character.

Movies today are flooded with quirky girl with issues played by many actresses like Natalie Portman, Zooey Deschanel, Ellen Paige etc.
Though they are awesome, I feel like Minelli's Pookie was one of the best one's I've seen. It wasn't such a reach. It all made sense. So the movie left me with a feeling I rarely get from movies. That I'd had an actual experience.

And the ending was perfect.
