Helicopters ???

When the chopper arrives the ghosts were shocked to see it and had no clue as to what it was. These guys fought in WWII and knew nothing of helicopters? What's with that?

I don't know a lot about anything but I know a little about practically everything

During World War II, helicopters were not in wide usage. They were experimental the last two years of the war, being tested at Floyd Bennett Field, at the time a Naval Station in New York.

Thus in 1943, the majority of airmen would not have known them, since they joined the service in 1941 or 1942.
