Eerie use of the North American baseball song "Take Me Out to the Ball Game." In the last shot of Tony alone, playing baseball by himself, the score quotes the song for the final time using the passage with the lyric (unsung)...
"I don't care if I never get back..."

Brilliant.

Nice catch, I thought this was just going to be another one of those forgettable "movies of the week" they ran on TV back in the 70's.

I was very happy that I was wrong about this one, very good acting and story line.
