British police chasing culprit scene.
(POSSIBLE SPOILER? AHEAD...)
Even after considering the fact that these British police officers are dealing with a supernatural being that wouldn't be destroyed or defeated by mundane bullets, you can clearly see the great dilemma/nuisance they face when they have to pursue the vampire in purple all over the countryside without any guns.
So it's quite amusing in cinematic, or should I say action/police chasing terms to be more specific, to see that they have no extension of their fists to at least strike the vampire down temporarily and from a considerable distance, to then try and restrain him. Interesting dilemma that the screenwriter must of had when writing the screenplay; for he could have diverted from reality and given them "almighty" guns... Obviously he said no... At least let's keep this bit both sensical and true to facts. They were given the good ol' whistles instead !
Although perhaps it was the perfect excuse/trick for such a sustained chase sequence. Dilemma/problem they wouldn't have had in a hollywood, or american film produced anywhere else for that matter, where usa cops run around waving their big guns all over the place and bullets fly indiscriminately even in a vampire film / monster film where clearly the chased would not be destructed by mere bullets unless its a werewolf and the bullet is pure silver, heheh.
ps: of course this is not a complaint or a wish for the film to have guns in it. Quite the opposite... The fact made it much more enjoyable than it would've been otherwise, I think.
