Vanessa Redgrave as Jean Brodie
Redgrave originated the role on the London stage. Maggie Smith was marvelous, but I can't imagine what Redgrave would've done with the part. I wonder if the producers considered casting Redgrave but, due to her high demand as a film actress, was unavailable.
