Can anyone tell me how the movie compares to the play? What's different? What's the same?

If you'd like to know you will be able to find out soon! Cynthia Nixon will be playing Jean Brodie in the The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie on Broadway in New York starting late September!! I will certainly be there (tickets are priced reasonable too - around $56 I believe)

I saw the play when I was quite a bit younger, (so I didn't really appriciate much!) Fiona Shaw (Mrs Dursley from Harry Potter!) was playing Miss Brodie, and she was amazing!!! Really good! The play's not that different to the film actually, but they're both different from the book, although honestly, for the better I think! The book kind of just flits from one thing to the other with no real sense of direction. And the character of Sandy is really wet compared to her much more 'kick ass' role in the play and the film! Hope that helped!
