the movie totally gets it spot on when Sandy actually forces Jean to consider the total shallowness of her PRIORITIES.

she lists them FOR her as:

1 you lost your job

2 your concern of getting a Proxy into Teddy's bed

3 Mary is DEAD

Jean still tries to keep Eyes Wide Shut [1999] but Sandy keeps up the barrage, explaining that SHE is the shallow one.

top marks Sandy - a most gallant action on behalf of the dumb Mary [who Jean simply saw as exploitable and expendable.]

Yeah. I don't get all the people who say Sandy was the bad guy. Sandy was 17 and had been totally manipulated by the people she was supposed to be able to trust. It was amazing that Sandy could see clearly enough in that sick environment to fix the situation. It was too late for her, she was pretty damaged by it all, but no other girls had to go through it.
